How to build your own ai bot with AI

Make a simple AI helper that does one job for you, such as answering questions or sorting emails, without writing code.

Steps

  1. Decide what job your bot should do. If you are not sure, a free helper bot asks you 5 questions and suggests a good first bot.

  2. Write down the job in plain words with an assistant: what the bot gets, what it should do, and what it must never do.

    Tool: ChatGPT

    Try this prompt:
Help me describe a simple AI bot for my small shop. It should answer customer questions about opening hours and delivery. Write a short list: what it reads, what it does, what it must never do.
  3. Easiest way to build it: use a no-code agent tool that connects to apps you already use (email, calendar, spreadsheets).

    Tool: Zapier Agents

  4. Want more control? Build it visually by dragging boxes together. These tools have free or open-source options.

    Tool: n8n

  5. For a chatbot that answers from your own documents, try a visual builder made for that.

    Tool: Flowise

  6. Test it with real questions, fix the answers you do not like, and only then share it with others.

    Tool: Dify
