How rankings, ads and affiliate links work

Rankings

Tool Score = 0.40·usefulness + 0.30·ease & price + 0.30·trust (MVP; adoption and momentum signals will be added). The weekly pick uses launch traction (GitHub stars, Hacker News points) plus novelty. Score breakdowns are shown on each page.

Sponsorship never affects scores or rank positions. Paying cannot buy a higher score, and not paying cannot lower one.

Sponsored slots

Newsletter sponsors, featured launches and category sponsorships are always labelled "Sponsored" or "Featured" and shown apart from the ranked lists.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links may be affiliate links. If you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate status never affects rankings. Affiliate links will be marked rel="sponsored".
